My first introduction to Grow Aid was in 2003 when I was asked to use it on my sweet peas, I soon realised what a good product it was, not only for keeping slugs away but also it’s feed value to my plants.
When my Sweet Peas start to flower I mulch the inside of the rows with a mixture of the wool pellets and multi purpose compost, usually split bags bought at a reduced price from my local garden centre. The mixture is spread on the soil about 1 inch thick and when watered forms a crust which suppresses weeds and most importantly feeds my plants each time I water given a potash feed at a time my plants need a boost for that extra colour. At the end of the season it is dug into the plot improving my soil each year. I also dress my pots and baskets with the pellets to great effect.
